Section 29 — Bearing still and quiet威儀寂靜分第二十九
Jingang Jing (The Diamond Sutra) Complete in one volume "All marks that exist are empty and false" — a sutra that teaches one to give rise to the mind without dwelling anywhere. It follows, just as they stand, the thirty-two sections into which Prince Zhaoming divided it. It is told that Huineng, the Sixth Patriarch, heard one line of this sutra and set his heart on awakening.
1Nowhere He Comes From, Nowhere He Goes
「須菩提!若有人言:如來若來若去,若坐若臥,是人不解我所說義。何以故?如來者,無所從來,亦無所去,故名如來。」
"Subhuti! If anyone says that the Tathagata comes and goes, sits and lies down, that person has not understood the meaning of what I say. Why is this? Because the Tathagata is one who comes from nowhere and goes nowhere, and so is named the Tathagata."
Interlinear notes 1
真性寂靜,不假威儀
The true nature is still, and borrows nothing from bearing or manner.
