1Emperor Kaika
稚日本根子彦大日日天皇。大日本根子彦國牽天皇第二子也。母曰欝色謎命。穗積臣達祖欝色雄命之妹也。天皇以大日本根子彦國牽天皇廿二年春正月。立爲皇太子。年十六。五十七年秋九月。大日本根子彦國牽天皇崩。冬十一月辛未朔壬午。太子即天皇位。
Emperor Wakayamatonekohikoohihi (稚日本根子彦大日日天皇) was the second son of Emperor Oyamatonekohikokunikuru. His mother was called Utsushikome no Mikoto. She was the sister of Utsushikoo no Mikoto (欝色雄命), the distant ancestor of the Hozumi no Omi.
The emperor was set up as crown prince in the twenty-second year of Emperor Oyamatonekohikokunikuru, in spring, the first month. He was sixteen years old. In the fifty-seventh year, in autumn, the ninth month, Emperor Oyamatonekohikokunikuru died. In winter, the eleventh month, the first day being a sinmi day, on the imo day, the crown prince ascended the throne.
2She is honored as empress dowager
元年春正月庚午朔癸酉。尊皇后曰皇太后。
In the first year, in spring, the first month, the first day being a gyeongo day, on the gyeyu day, he honored the empress and called her the empress dowager.
3He moves to Izakawanomiya
冬十月丙申朔戊申。遷都于春日之地。是謂率川宮。是年也太歳甲申。
In winter, the tenth month, the first day being a byeongsin day, on the musin day, he moved the capital to the land of Kasuga. This is called Izakawanomiya (率川宮). In this year the year sign was gapsin.

4The former sovereign is buried
五年春二月丁未朔壬子。葬大日本根子彦國牽天皇于劒池嶋上陵。
In the fifth year, in spring, the second month, the first day being a jeongmi day, on the imja day, Emperor Oyamatonekohikokunikuru was buried in the tomb of Shimanoe at Tsuruginoike.
5He makes his father's consort empress
六年春正月辛丑朔甲寅。立伊香色謎命爲皇后。后生御間城入彦五十瓊殖天皇。先是天皇納丹波竹野媛爲妃。生彦湯産隅命。次妃和珥臣達祖姥津命之妹姥津媛生彦坐王。
In the sixth year, in spring, the first month, the first day being a sinchuk day, on the gabin day, Ikagashikome no Mikoto was set up as empress. The empress bore Emperor Mimakiiribikoinie.
Before this the emperor took Taniwa no Takanohime as a consort, and she bore Hikoyumusumi no Mikoto (彦湯産隅命). The next consort was Hahatsuhime, the sister of Hahatsu no Mikoto, the ancestor of the Wani no Omi, and she bore Hikoimasu no Miko (彦坐王).

6A crown prince is set up
廿八年春正月癸巳朔丁酉。立御間城入彦尊爲皇太子。年十九。
In the twenty-eighth year, in spring, the first month, the first day being a gyesa day, on the jeongyu day, Mimakiiribiko no Mikoto was set up as crown prince. He was nineteen years old.
7He dies
六十年夏四月丙辰朔甲子。天皇崩。
In the sixtieth year, in summer, the fourth month, the first day being a byeongjin day, on the gapja day, the emperor died.
8He is buried
冬十月癸丑朔乙卯。葬于春日率川坂本陵。
In winter, the tenth month, the first day being a gyechuk day, on the eulmyo day, he was buried in the tomb of Sakamoto at Izakawa in Kasuga.

One account says it was the tomb of Sakanoe (坂上陵). He was then one hundred and fifteen years old.
