1You must leave this place

East Buyeo.

The Emperor of Heaven came down in a dream to Aranbul (阿蘭弗), the prime minister of Hae Buru, King of North Buyeo, and said,

"I am going to have my descendants found a state here. You must leave this place.〔This means the sign that Dongmyeong was about to rise.〕

On the shore of the East Sea there is a land called Gaseobwon. The soil is rich, and it is fit for a royal capital."

Aranbul urged the king to move the capital there, and the state was named East Buyeo.

2A golden frog-shaped child beneath a rock

Hae Buru grew old without a son. One day he made offerings to the mountains and rivers, seeking an heir.

The horse he was riding came to Gonyeon, and and facing a great rock beside the stream, it shed tears.

The king thought it strange and had a man roll the rock over. There was a small child, golden in color and shaped like a frog.

The king was glad and said, "This must be the fine son that Heaven has given me."

So he took the child in and raised him, and named him Geumwa (金蛙).

When he grew up he became crown prince. When Hae Buru died, Geumwa succeeded to the throne and became king.

Next he passed the throne to the crown prince Daeso (帶素). When it came to the third year of Dihuang, an imo year, King Muhyul of Goguryeo attacked and killed King Daeso, and the state was no more.
