The master Yungcheon's Song of the Comet — reign of King Jinpyeong.

In the reign of King Jinpyeong, the followers of three hwarang, the fifth Georyeollang, the sixth Silcheorang,〔He is also called Dolcheorang.〕 and the seventh Bodongnang, wished to go on an outing to Pungak.

At that time a comet crossed the great star of the Heart.

The followers took it as an ill sign and meant to give up the journey.

Then the master Yungcheon (融天師) composed a song and sang it, and the strange star vanished at once, and the Japanese troops went back to their own country, so that it turned instead into a happy event.

The great king rejoiced and sent the followers to go and enjoy the mountain.

The song is this:

⟪Hyangga⟫
