Jingbirok (A Record of Rebuke and Admonition) Book 15 — The Military Headquarters Register A record left by Ryu Seong-ryong, Chief State Councillor, of what he saw with his own eyes after the Imjin War ended. Its title comes from the line, "I rebuke what is past, and take heed against troubles to come." He set down without excuse how the war began and what the court failed to do. His recommendation of Yi Sun-sin, the wrangling with the Ming army, and the suffering the people endured are all recorded as they were.

南漢山城設倉基址防禦使與本州牧使看審設倉可當處速爲牒報此乃時急之事而今此始役地凍力弱恐不得趁時成就以誤大計本道各別叅酌功役多少便宜指授俾令有成

As for the site for setting a granary at Namhansanseong, let the Defense Commander look it over together with the magistrate of the county itself and report quickly a place fit for setting a granary. This is a matter pressing in time; and now that the labor is to be begun, it is feared that with the ground frozen and strength weak it may not be brought about in good time and the great plan be spoiled. Let this province take particular account of how much labor it will take and give directions as is convenient, so that there be achievement.
