Zhou Shu Yiyu Zhuan (Accounts of the Foreign Regions in the Book of Zhou) Complete in one volume The neighbours as the Northern Zhou saw them. It gives in detail the thirteen offices of Goryeo and the golso cap, and the eoraha and the geongilji of Baekje with their sixteen ranks of office; then follow the accounts of many peoples within and beyond the Middle Land — the Man, the Lao, the Dangchang Qiang, the Jihu and the rest. Sixty-six collation notes comparing the editions are carried over as interlinear notes.
The Dengzhi Qiang are a separate branch of the Qiang. There was one called Xiangshuzhi (像舒治), who for generations was chieftain of Baishui and called himself king. Their land touches Dangchang to the north, and their customs and products are much the same as those of Dangchang. From Shuzhi down to Yanheng there were eleven generations. In the first year of Emperor Gong of Wei, Yanheng lost his state and came over in flight. Taizu ordered Duke Zhangwu, Dao (導), to lead troops, escort him back, and restore him to his place.
