Emperor Itoku懿徳天皇
1Emperor Itoku
大日本彦耜友天皇。磯城津彦玉手看天皇第二子也。母曰渟名底仲媛命。事代主神孫鴨王女也。
Emperor Oyamatohikosukitomo (大日本彦耜友天皇) was the second son of Emperor Shikitsuhikotamatemi. His mother was called Nunasokonakatsuhime no Mikoto. She was the daughter of Kamo no Kimi (鴨王), the grandson of Kotoshironushi no Kami.
2He is made crown prince at sixteen
磯城津彦玉手看天皇十一年正春正月壬戌。立爲皇太子。年十六。
In the eleventh year of Emperor Shikitsuhikotamatemi, in spring, the first month, on the imsul day, he was set up as crown prince. He was sixteen years old.
3The former sovereign dies
卅八年冬十二月。磯城津彦玉手看天皇崩。
In the thirty-eighth year, in winter, the twelfth month, Emperor Shikitsuhikotamatemi died.
4He ascends the throne
元年春二月己酉朔壬子。皇太子即天皇位。
In the first year, in spring, the second month, the first day being a giyu day, on the imja day, the crown prince ascended the throne.
5The former sovereign is buried
秋八月丙午朔。葬磯城津彦玉手看天皇於畝傍山南御陰井上陵。
In autumn, the eighth month, on the first day, a byeongo day, Emperor Shikitsuhikotamatemi was buried in the tomb at Mihonoinoe, south of Mount Unebi.
6She is honored as empress dowager
九月丙子朔乙丑。尊皇后曰皇太后。是年也太歳辛卯。
In the ninth month, the first day being a byeongja day, on the eulchuk day, he honored the empress and called her the empress dowager. In this year the year sign was sinmyo.
7He moves to Magarionomiya
二年春正月甲戌朔戊寅。遷都於輕地。是謂曲峽宮。
In the second year, in spring, the first month, the first day being a gapsul day, on the muin day, he moved the capital to the land of Karu. This is called Magarionomiya (曲峽宮).
8An empress is set up
二月癸卯朔癸丑。立天豐津媛命爲皇后。后生觀松彦香殖稻天皇。
In the second month, the first day being a gyemyo day, on the gyechuk day, Amatoyotsuhime no Mikoto was set up as empress. The empress bore Emperor Mimatsuhikokaeshine.

一云。磯城縣主葉江男弟。猪手女泉媛。一云。磯城縣主太眞稚彦女飯日媛也。
One account says she was Izumihime (泉媛), the daughter of Ite (猪手), the younger brother of Hae, the Shiki no Agatanushi. Another account says she was Iihihime (飯日媛), the daughter of Futomawakahiko, the Shiki no Agatanushi.
一云。天皇母弟武石彦奇友背命。
One account says he was Takeshihikokushitomose no Mikoto (武石彦奇友背命), the emperor's younger brother by the same mother.
9A crown prince is set up
廿二年春二月丁未朔戊午。立觀松彦香殖稻尊爲皇太子。年十八。
In the twenty-second year, in spring, the second month, the first day being a jeongmi day, on the muo day, Mimatsuhikokaeshine no Mikoto was set up as crown prince. He was eighteen years old.
10He dies
卅四年秋九月甲子朔辛未。天皇崩。
In the thirty-fourth year, in autumn, the ninth month, the first day being a gapja day, on the sinmi day, the emperor died.
