1Jabi Maripgan ascends the throne
慈悲麻立干立，訥祇王長子，母金氏，實聖之女也。
Jabi Maripgan ascended the throne. He was the eldest son of King Nulji, and his mother was of the Kim clan, a daughter of Silseong.
2Second year — more than a hundred Wa warships surround Wolseong
二年，春二月，謁始祖廟。夏四月，倭人以兵船百餘艘，襲東邊，進圍月城，四面矢石，如雨。王城守，賊將退，出兵擊敗之，追北至海口，賊溺死者，過半。
In the second year, in spring, the second month, he paid his respects at the shrine of the founder. In summer, the fourth month, the Wa (倭人) fell upon the eastern border with more than a hundred warships, and they went on and surrounded Wolseong, and arrows and stones came from all four sides like rain. The king held the fortress, and when the enemy were about to draw back he sent out troops and struck them and beat them. He pursued them as they fled and came to the mouth of the sea, and more than half of the enemy were drowned.
3Fourth year — the daughter of Misaheun is taken as queen
四年，春二月，王納舒弗邯未斯欣女，爲妃。夏四月，龍見金城井中。
In the fourth year, in spring, the second month, the king took the daughter of Misaheun of the rank of seobulhan and made her his queen. In summer, the fourth month, a dragon appeared in the well of Geumseong.
4Fifth year — the Wa break Hwalgaeseong
五年，夏五月，倭人襲破活開城，虜人一千而去。
In the fifth year, in summer, the fifth month, the Wa (倭人) fell upon Hwalgaeseong and broke it, and they took a thousand people captive and went away.
5Sixth year — two fortresses are built
六年，春二月，倭人侵歃良城，不克而去，王命伐智、德智，領兵伏候於路，要擊，大敗之。王以倭人侵疆埸，緣邊築二城。秋七月，大閱。
In the sixth year, in spring, the second month, the Wa (倭人) raided Samnyangseong, but they did not take it and went away. The king ordered Beolji and Deokji to lead troops, and they lay hidden along the road and waited, and struck at the narrow way and beat them badly. Since the Wa raided the borderland, the king built two fortresses along the border. In autumn, the seventh month, there was a great review.
6Eighth year — hills fall in seventeen places
八年，夏四月，大水，山崩一十七所。五月，沙伐郡，蝗。
In the eighth year, in summer, the fourth month, there was a great flood, and hills fell in seventeen places. In the fifth month locusts swarmed at Sabeol commandery.
7Tenth year — the warships are put in order
十年春，命有司修理戰艦。秋九月，天赤，大星自北流東南。
In the tenth year, in spring, the officers in charge were ordered to put the warships in order. In autumn, the ninth month, the sky was red, and a great star flowed from the north to the southeast.
8Eleventh year — a fortress is built at Iha
十一年春，高句麗與靺鞨，襲北邊悉直城。秋九月，徴何瑟羅人年十五已上，築城於泥河。
In the eleventh year, in spring, Goguryeo together with the Malgal fell upon Siljikseong on the northern border. In autumn, the ninth month, the people of Haseulla who were fifteen years and older were called up, and a fortress was built at Iha (泥河).

9Twelfth year — the names of the bang and ri of the capital are fixed
十二年，春正月，定京都坊里名。夏四月，國西大水，漂毀民戶。秋七月，王巡撫經水州郡。
In the twelfth year, in spring, the first month, the names of the bang (坊) and the ri (里) of the capital were fixed. In summer, the fourth month, there was a great flood in the west of the country, and the houses of the people were washed away and thrown down. In autumn, the seventh month, the king went about the provinces and the commanderies that the flood had passed through and comforted them.
10Thirteenth year — Samnyeonsanseong is built
十三年，築三年山城。
In the thirteenth year, Samnyeonsanseong was built.

Three years, samnyeon, is the name given because from the raising of the work to its end three years passed before it was finished.
11Fourteenth year — the ground splits open
十四年，春二月，築芼老城。三月，京都地裂，廣袤二十丈，濁水湧。冬十月，大疫。
In the fourteenth year, in spring, the second month, Moroseong was built. In the third month the ground split open in the capital, twenty jang across and along, and muddy water gushed up. In winter, the tenth month, there was a great pestilence.
12Sixteenth year — Myeonghwalseong is put in order
十六年，春正月，以阿飡伐智、級飡德智爲左右將軍。秋七月，葺明活城。
In the sixteenth year, in spring, the first month, Beolji of the rank of achan and Deokji of the rank of geupchan were made generals of the left and of the right. In autumn, the seventh month, Myeonghwalseong was put in order.
13Seventeenth year — Yeogyeong, king of Baekje, is killed
十七年，築一牟、沙尸、廣石、沓達、仇禮、坐羅等城。秋七月，高句麗王巨連，親率兵，攻百濟。百濟王餘慶，遣子文周求援，王出兵救之，未至，百濟已陷，餘慶亦被害。
In the seventeenth year, the fortresses of Ilmo, Sasi, Gwangseok, Dapdal, Gurye and Jwara and others were built. In autumn, the seventh month, Georyeon (巨連), the king of Goguryeo, led troops in person and attacked Baekje. Yeogyeong (餘慶), the king of Baekje, sent his son Munju to ask for help, and the king sent out troops to rescue him, but before they arrived Baekje had already fallen and Yeogyeong too had been killed.
14Eighteenth year — he moves to Myeonghwalseong
十八年，春正月，王移居明活城。
In the eighteenth year, in spring, the first month, the king moved and lived at Myeonghwalseong.
15Nineteenth year — Deokji beats the Wa
十九年，夏六月，倭人侵東邊。王命將軍德智擊敗之，殺虜二百餘人。
In the nineteenth year, in summer, the sixth month, the Wa (倭人) raided the eastern border. The king ordered the general Deokji to strike them, and he beat them, killing and taking captive more than two hundred people.
16Twentieth year — the Wa come by five roads
二十年，夏五月，倭人擧兵，五道來侵，竟無功而還。
In the twentieth year, in summer, the fifth month, the Wa (倭人) raised troops and came raiding by five roads, but in the end they went back without gain.
17Twenty-first year — a red light from the ground to the sky
二十一年，春二月，夜赤光如匹練，自地至天。冬十月，京都地震。
In the twenty-first year, in spring, the second month, at night a red light like a bolt of silk stretched from the ground to the sky. In winter, the tenth month, the ground shook in the capital.
18Twenty-second year — the king dies
二十二年，春二月三日，王薨。
In the twenty-second year, in spring, on the third day of the second month, the king died.
