King Sindeok神德王
1King Sindeok ascends the throne
神德王立。姓朴氏，諱景暉。阿達羅王遠孫，父乂兼，事定康大王爲大阿飡；母，貞和夫人；妃，金氏，憲康大王之女。孝恭王薨，無子，爲國人推戴卽位。
King Sindeok ascended the throne. His surname was Bak, and his name was Gyeonghwi (景暉). He was a distant descendant of King Adalla. His father Yegyeom served King Jeonggang the Great and rose to the rank of daeachan; his mother was Lady Jeonghwa; his queen was of the house of Kim, a daughter of King Heongang the Great. King Hyogong died without a son, and so the people of the country raised him up, and he ascended the throne.

2First year — Seungyeong is set up as crown prince
元年，五月，追尊考爲宣聖大王，母爲貞和太后，妃爲義成王后。立子昇英爲王太子，拜伊飡繼康爲上大等。
In the first year, in the fifth month, his father was raised after his death to the title of King Seonseong the Great, his mother to that of Grand Queen Jeonghwa, and his queen to that of Queen Uiseong. His son Seungyeong was set up as crown prince, and Gyegang, of the rank of ichan, was made sangdaedeung.
3The second year — the earth shakes
二年，夏四月，隕霜。地震。
In the second year, in summer, the fourth month, frost fell. The earth shook.
4The third year — Gung Ye changes the era name to Jeonggae
三年，春三月，隕霜。弓裔改水德萬歲爲政開元年。
In the third year, in spring, the third month, frost fell. Gung Ye changed Sudeok Manse and called it the first year of Jeonggae (政開).
5The fourth year — the waters of Champo and the Eastern Sea strike each other
四年，夏六月，槧浦水與東海水相擊，浪高二十丈許，三日而止。
In the fourth year, in summer, the sixth month, the water of Champo and the water of the Eastern Sea struck each other. The waves rose some twenty gil high, and after three days it stopped.
6The fifth year — Gyeon Hwon attacks Daeyaseong
五年，秋八月，甄萱攻大耶仇史二城，不克。冬十月，地震，聲如雷。
In the fifth year, in autumn, the eighth month, Gyeon Hwon attacked the two fortresses Daeyaseong and Gusaseong, but did not take them. In winter, the tenth month, the earth shook, and the sound of it was like thunder.
7The sixth year — King Sindeok dies
六年，春正月，太白犯月。秋七月，王薨。諡曰神德，葬于竹城。
In the sixth year, in spring, the first month, Taebaek was seen to trespass upon the moon. In autumn, the seventh month, the king died. His posthumous name was given as Sindeok (神德), and he was buried at Jukseong.
