King Daru多婁王
1King Daru ascends the throne
多婁王，溫祚王之元子。器宇寬厚，有威望。溫祚王在位第二十八年，立為太子，至四十六年，王薨，繼位。
King Daru (多婁王) was the eldest son of King Onjo. He was broad and generous in his bearing, and he had dignity and the trust of the people. In the twenty-eighth year of King Onjo's reign he was set up as crown prince, and in the forty-sixth year the king died and he came into the throne after him.
2The second year — offerings are made to heaven and earth at the southern altar
二年，春正月，王謁始祖東明廟。二月，王祀天地於南壇。
In the second year, in spring, the first month, the king paid his respects at the shrine of the founder Dongmyeong. In the second month the king made offerings to heaven and earth at the southern altar.
3The third year — Heuru overcomes the Malgal
三年，冬十月，東部屹于，與靺鞨戰於馬首山西，克之，殺獲甚衆。王喜，賞屹于馬十匹、租五百石。
In the third year, in winter, the tenth month, Heuru of the eastern division fought the Malgal west of Masusan and overcame them, and those he killed and took were very many. The king was glad, and he gave Heuru ten horses and five hundred seom of grain.
4The fourth year — Gonu heavily overcomes the Malgal
四年，秋八月，高木城昆優，與靺鞨戰，大克，斬首二百餘級。九月，王田於橫岳下，連中雙鹿，衆人歎美之。
In the fourth year, in autumn, the eighth month, Gonu of the fortress of Gomokseong fought the Malgal and heavily overcame them, and he cut off more than two hundred heads. In the ninth month the king hunted below Hoengak and hit two deer one after the other, and the many who were there wondered at it and praised it.
5The sixth year — rice paddies are first made in the southern provinces
六年，春正月，立元子己婁為太子。大赦。二月，下令國南州郡，始作稻田。

6The seventh year — the fortress of Masu falls
七年，春二月，右輔解婁卒，年九十歲。以東部屹于為右輔。夏四月，東方有赤氣。秋九月，靺鞨攻陷馬首城，放火，燒百姓廬屋。冬十月，又襲甁山柵。
In the seventh year, in spring, the second month, Haeru the ubo died, being ninety years of age. Heuru of the eastern division was made ubo. 7The tenth year — Heuru is made jwabo
十年，冬十月，右輔屹于為左輔，北部眞會為右輔。十一月，地震聲如雷。
In the tenth year, in winter, the tenth month, Heuru the ubo was made jwabo, and Jinhoe of the northern division was made ubo. In the eleventh month the earth shook with a sound like thunder.
8The eleventh year — the brewing of wine in private is forbidden
十一年，秋，穀不成，禁百姓私釀酒。冬十月，王巡撫東西兩部，貧不能自存者，給穀人二石。
In the eleventh year, in autumn, the grain did not ripen, and the people were forbidden to brew wine in private. In winter, the tenth month, the king went about the two divisions of east and west and comforted them, and to those too poor to keep themselves alive he gave two seom of grain for each person.
9The twenty-first year — Heuru dies
二十一年，春二月，宮中太槐樹自枯。三月，左輔屹于卒，王哭之哀。
In the twenty-first year, in spring, the second month, the great pagoda tree within the palace withered of itself. In the third month Heuru the jwabo died, and the king wept for him in sorrow.
10The twenty-eighth year — the prisoners are looked into
二十八年，春夏旱。慮囚，赦死罪。秋八月，靺鞨侵北鄙。
In the twenty-eighth year, in spring and summer, there was drought. The prisoners were looked into, and those under sentence of death were pardoned. In autumn, the eighth month, the Malgal came into the northern edge of the country.
11The twenty-ninth year — the fortress of Ugok is built
二十九年，春二月，王命東部，築牛谷城，以備靺鞨。
In the twenty-ninth year, in spring, the second month, the king ordered the eastern division to build the fortress of Ugokseong and be ready for the Malgal.
12The thirty-sixth year — a meeting is asked of Silla
三十六年，冬十月，王拓地至娘子谷城。仍遣使新羅請會，不從。
In the thirty-sixth year, in winter, the tenth month, the king widened his land as far as the fortress of Nangjagokseong. Then he sent an envoy to Silla to ask for a meeting, but they did not agree.
13The thirty-seventh year — the fortress of Guyang is attacked
三十七年，秋八月王遣兵攻新羅蛙山城，不克，冬十月，移兵攻狗壤城。新羅發騎兵二千，逆擊走之。

三十九年，攻取蛙山城，留二百人，守之，尋為新羅所敗。

15The forty-third year — Silla is invaded
四十三年，遣兵侵新羅。

17The forty-seventh year — Silla is invaded
四十七年，秋八月，遣將侵新羅。

四十八年，冬十月，又攻蛙山城，拔之。

19The forty-ninth year — Silla takes back the fortress of Wasan
四十九年，秋九月，蛙山城為新羅所復。
In the forty-ninth year, in autumn, the ninth month, the fortress of Wasanseong was taken back by Silla.
20The fiftieth year — King Daru dies
五十年，秋九月，王薨。
