第三弩禮王朴弩禮尼叱今〔一作儒礼王.〕.初王與妹夫脫解讓位,脫解云“凢有徳者多齒,冝以齒理試之.”乃咬餅験之王齒多故先立.因名尼叱今,尼叱今之稱自此王始.劉聖公更始元年癸未即位〔年表云甲申即位.〕.
King Norye, the third king.
He was Bak Norye Ijilgeum.〔Also called King Yurye.〕
At first the king and his brother-in-law Talhae each yielded the throne to the other. Talhae said,
"It is said that a man of virtue has many teeth. We should test it by tooth marks."
So they bit into a rice cake to test it. The king had more teeth, and so he ascended the throne first.
Because of this he was named ijilgeum, and the title ijilgeum began with this king.
He ascended the throne in the first year of Gengshi under Liu Shenggong, a gyemi year.〔The chronological table says he ascended the throne in a gapsin year.〕

攺定六部號,仍賜六姓.始作兠率歌,有嗟辝·詞腦格.始製黎耜及藏氷庫,作車乗.建虎十八年伐伊西國滅之,是年高麗兵来侵.
He changed and fixed the names of the six divisions, and then granted the six surnames.
He first composed the Dosolga, which had the forms of chasa (嗟辭) and sanoe (詞腦).
He first made the plow and the plowshare, and the ice storehouse, and built carriages.
In the eighteenth year of Jianwu he attacked the state of Iseo and destroyed it. In this year a Goguryeo army came and raided.
