Samguk Yusa (Memorabilia of the Three Kingdoms) Marvels, Part Two A collection of tales of the Three Kingdoms period, compiled by Iryeon, a monk of Goryeo. He gathered the stories the official histories had cast aside. It is the oldest book that carries the myth of Dangun.

1Three doe a day for each person

聖徳王第三十三聖徳王神龍二年丙午,歳禾不登人民飢甚.丁未正月初一日至七月三十日,救民給租,一口一日三升爲式.終事而計三十万五百碩也.王爲太宗大王刱奉徳寺,設仁王道場七日,大赦.始有侍中聀.〔一本系孝成王.〕

King Seongdeok.

In the second year of Shenlong, a byeongo year, under King Seongdeok, the thirty-third king, the grain did not ripen and the people went very hungry.

From the first day of the first month to the thirtieth day of the seventh month of the jeongmi year, grain was given out to relieve the people, and the rule was three doe a day for each person.

When the work was finished and the total reckoned, it came to three hundred thousand five hundred seok.

For Great King Taejong the king founded Bongdeok Temple, held an Inwang ritual assembly for seven days, and declared a great amnesty.

The office of sijung first came into being.〔One book ties this to the reign of King Hyoseong.〕
