At the start of the Dali era, the ground east of the great hall of the government office of Gangju gradually sank and became a pond〔One book says a small pond east of a great temple.〕, thirteen cheok long and seven cheok wide.
Suddenly five or six carp appeared one after another and gradually grew larger, and the pond grew larger with them.
In the second year, a jeongmi year, a heavenly dog (天狗) also fell south of the eastern tower. Its head was like a jar, its tail about three cheok long, its light like a blazing fire, and heaven and earth shook as well.
Also in this year, in five furrows of paddy in Geumpo County every grain of rice formed an ear.
In the seventh month of this year, in the courtyard of the North Palace, first two stars fell to the ground and then one more star fell, and all three stars went down into the earth.
Before this, two stalks of lotus had grown in the privy north of the palace, and a lotus had also grown in a field of Bongseong Temple.
A tiger came into the palace fortress. It was chased but got away.
Sparrows without number gathered on a pear tree at the house of Daegong, of the rank of gakgan.

According to the second volume of the Anguk byeongbeop, "the armies of all under heaven will be thrown into great disorder." So a great amnesty was declared and the king examined and corrected himself.
On the third day of the seventh month Daegong, of the rank of gakgan, rose in rebellion, and across the capital and the provinces and commanderies of the five circuits ninety-six gakgan fought one another in great turmoil.
The house of Daegong the gakgan was destroyed, and its goods, treasures, and silks were carried off to the royal palace.
The long storehouse at Sinseong burned, and the treasures and grain of the rebel party that lay in villages such as Saryang and Moryang were also carried into the royal palace.
The turmoil ended only after three months. Those rewarded were very many, and those put to death were beyond counting.
This is what Pyohun meant when he said the state would be in danger.
