The Country of Sulacha
The country of Sulacha is more than four thousand li around. The great capital city of the country is more than thirty li around, and on the west it leans upon the Moxi river. The people who live there are many and thriving, and their households are rich. It is subject to the country of Falapi. The soil is salt and briny, and flowers and fruit are few and scarce. Cold and heat are even enough, but the wind blows and is never still. The custom of the land is shallow and mean, and the people are light and hasty by nature. They do not love learning and the arts, and they believe in the false and the true alike. The monasteries are more than fifty and the monks more than three thousand, and most of them study the Law of the Sthavira school of the Greater Vehicle. The temples of the gods are more than a hundred, and followers of other ways live mixed among them. The country lies on the road to the western sea, and so the people all make their capital of the profit of the sea. They make the selling of goods their livelihood and trade what they have for what they have not.
2Mount Yushanduo
Not far from the city there is Mount Yushanduo. On its top there is a monastery, and its rooms and its halls and its galleries are for the most part cut out of the cliffs and the ridges. Woods and trees grow thick and green, and the streams of the springs are woven through the place. It is where the holy and the worthy journeyed and stayed, and where the divine immortals gathered and came.
Going north from the country of Falapi more than one thousand eight hundred li, one comes to the country of Juzheluo.
