The country of Adianposhiluo is more than five thousand li around. The great capital city of the country is called Qiexianshifaluo, and it is more than thirty li around. It lies off in the western border, facing the Xindu river and reaching the shore of the great sea. Its houses are grave and stately, and precious things are many. Of late it has had no ruler, and it is held as a part of the country of Xindu. The ground is low and damp and the soil is salt, foul grasses grow rank, and few fields and ridges are broken for planting. Every kind of grain is sown, but winter wheat is especially plentiful. The seasons are a little cold, and the winds blow strong and fierce. The land suits the keeping of cattle, sheep, camels, mules and the like. The nature of the people is fierce and quick, and they are not fond of study. Their speech differs a little from that of Central India. Their customs are simple and plain, and they honor the Three Jewels. There are more than eighty monasteries and more than five thousand monks, and they mostly study the Law of the Zhengliang school of the Lesser Vehicle. There are ten temples of the gods, and they are mostly the places where the followers of other ways who smear themselves with ashes come and stay.

3The six stupas of King Wuyou
在昔如來頗遊此國,說法度人,導凡利俗,故無憂王於聖跡外建六窣堵波焉。
Long ago the Tathagata came often to this country. He spoke the Law and carried men across, he led the common people and gave profit to the world, and so King Wuyou built six stupas outside the places of his holy traces.
