The Country of Alini阿利尼國
Da Tang Xiyu Ji (Great Tang Records on the Western Regions) Book 12 The record Xuanzang laid before Emperor Taizong of the Tang after seventeen years of walking through the Western Regions and India, a hundred and thirty-eight countries in all. It is the stuff from which Journey to the West was made, but what stands here is not monsters — it is the compass and the climate and the speech and the faith of one country after another. The road runs two hundred years after Faxian and eighty years before Hyecho.
阿利尼國，睹貨邏國故地也，帶縛芻河兩岸，周三百餘里。國大都城周十四五里。土宜風俗，大同活國。
The country of Alini is the old land of the country of Duhuoluo. It lies like a belt along both banks of the Fuchu river, and it is more than three hundred li around. The great capital city of the country is fourteen or fifteen li around. What the soil suits and the customs are much the same as in the country of Huo.
東至曷邏胡國。
To the east it reaches the country of Heluohu.
