Ming Shi Chaoxian Zhuan (Account of Joseon in the History of Ming)明史 朝鮮傳
Three hundred years of Joseon as the Ming saw them. Here are the turning back of the army at Wihwado and the choosing of the name Joseon; the two-hundred-year struggle over the false record of the royal lineage; and, filling half the account, the whole course of the seven years of the Imjin War — Pyongyang, Byeokjegwan, Ulsan, Noryang. It is the last account of Joseon in a standard history, and it closes: "It was called a vassal state, yet it was no different from within the borders."
6 entries and 84 paragraphs fully translated. The twelfth book on the Eastern Yi shelf — with this the shelf 「Two Thousand Years of Korea as China Saw It」 is truly complete. Eleven hundred years of official history, from the Book of Jin down to the History of Ming.
