The kingdom of Gara加羅國
Nan Qi Shu Dongnan Yi Zhuan (Accounts of the Eastern and Southern Yi in the Book of Southern Qi) Complete in one volume The Eastern Yi and the Southern Yi as the Southern Qi saw them. Here are the death of Go Ryeon, King Jangsu of Goguryeo; the first account given to Haji, king of Gara, in his own right; and the memorial saying that Modae, King Dongseong of Baekje, broke several hundred thousand Northern Wei horsemen. Even the story of the leaf lost from the middle of the account of Goryeo is shown here just as it stands.
1Haji, king of Gara
加羅國,三韓種也。建元元年,國王荷知使來獻。詔曰:「量廣始登,遠夷洽化。加羅王荷知款關海外,奉贄東遐。可授輔國將軍、本國王。」
Gara (加羅國) is a branch of the Samhan. In the first year of Jianyuan the envoy of Haji (荷知), the king of that land, came and offered tribute. The edict said, "A broad measure has begun to rise, and the distant Yi are washed with our teaching. Haji, king of Gara, has knocked at the pass from beyond the sea and borne his gifts from the far east. He may be granted the titles of General Who Upholds the State and King of his own land."
