Yurye Isageum儒禮尼師今
1Yurye Isageum ascends the throne
儒禮尼師今立,助賁王長子。母,朴氏,葛文王奈音之女。嘗夜行,星光入口,因有娠,載誕之夕,異香滿室。
Yurye Isageum ascended the throne. He was the eldest son of King Jobun, and his mother was of the house of Bak, the daughter of Naeeum Galmunwang. Once, as she walked at night, the light of a star entered her mouth, and by this she came with child. On the evening she gave birth, a strange fragrance filled the room.

《古記》第三,第十四,二王同諱儒理,或云儒禮,未知孰是。
The Gogi (古記) gives Yuri (儒理) as the name of both the third king and the fourteenth, and some give Yurye (儒禮). Which is right is not known.
2Second year — Honggwon is given charge of weighty affairs
二年,春正月,謁始祖廟。二月,拜伊飡弘權爲舒弗邯,委以機務。
In the second year, in spring, the first month, he attended at the shrine of the founder. In the second month the ichan Honggwon was made seobulhan and given charge of weighty affairs.
3Third year — Baekje asks for peace
三年,春正月,百濟遣使請和。三月,旱。
In the third year, in spring, the first month, Baekje sent an envoy to ask for peace. In the third month there was drought.
4Fourth year — the Wa burn Illyebu
四年,夏四月,倭人襲一禮部縱火燒之,虜人一千而去。
In the fourth year, in summer, the fourth month, the Wa (倭人) fell upon Illyebu, set fire to it and burned it, and carried off a thousand people.
5Sixth year — ships and arms are made ready at word that Wa troops are coming
六年,夏五月,聞倭兵至,理舟楫,繕甲兵。
In the sixth year, in summer, the fifth month, at word that Wa troops (倭兵) were coming, the boats and oars were put in order and the armor and weapons made ready.
6Seventh year — Wolseong falls down
七年,夏五月,大水。月城頹毁。
In the seventh year, in summer, the fifth month, there was a great flood. Wolseong fell down.
7Eighth year — Malgu is asked what matters in government
八年,春正月,拜末仇爲伊伐飡,末仇忠貞,有智略,王常訪問政要。
In the eighth year, in spring, the first month, Malgu was made ibeolchan. Malgu was loyal and upright and had a head for plans, and the king would always ask him what mattered in the government.
8Ninth year — Wa troops take Sadoseong
九年,夏六月,倭兵攻陷沙道城,命一吉飡大谷,領兵救完之。秋七月,旱、蝗。
In the ninth year, in summer, the sixth month, Wa troops (倭兵) struck Sadoseong and took it, so the ilgilchan Daegok was ordered to lead troops, go to the rescue, and make it whole again. In autumn, the seventh month, there was drought and there were locusts.
9Tenth year — Sadoseong is built anew
十年,春二月,改築沙道城,移沙伐州豪民八十餘家。
In the tenth year, in spring, the second month, Sadoseong was built anew, and more than eighty households of well-to-do people of Sabeolju were moved there.
10Eleventh year — Wa troops strike Jangbongseong
十一年,夏,倭兵來攻長峯城,不克。秋七月,多沙郡進嘉禾。
In the eleventh year, in summer, Wa troops (倭兵) came and struck Jangbongseong but could not win. In autumn, the seventh month, Dasa commandery presented an auspicious stalk of rice.
11Twelfth year — the talk of striking Wa
十二年春,王謂臣下曰:「倭人屢犯我城邑,百姓不得安居。吾欲與百濟謀,一時浮海,入擊其國,如何?」舒弗邯弘權對曰:「吾人不習水戰。冒險遠征,恐有不測之危。況百濟多詐,常有呑噬我國之心。亦恐難與同謀。」王曰:「善。」
In the twelfth year, in spring, the king said to his officials, "The Wa (倭人) have come into our forts and towns again and again, and the people cannot live in peace. I wish to plan it with Baekje, cross the sea at one stroke, and go into their country and strike it. What do you say?"
The seobulhan Honggwon answered, "Our men are not practiced in fighting on water. To brave the danger and strike far off, I fear, holds perils past reckoning. And Baekje is full of deceit and has always had a mind to swallow our country, so I fear it would also be hard to plan together with them."
The king said, "You are right."
12Fourteenth year — soldiers with bamboo leaves in their ears
十四年,春正月,以智良爲伊飡,長昕爲一吉飡,順宣爲沙飡。伊西古國,來攻金城,我大擧兵防禦,不能攘。忽有異兵來,其數不可勝紀。人皆珥竹葉,與我軍同擊賊破之,後不知其所歸。人或

14Fifteenth year — the king dies
十五年,春二月,京都大霧,不辨人,五日而霽。冬十二月,王薨。
In the fifteenth year, in spring, the second month, a great fog lay over the capital so that people could not be told apart, and after five days it cleared. In winter, the twelfth month, the king died.
