The Country of Qulangna
The country of Qulangna is the old land of the country of Duhuoluo, and it is more than two thousand li around. Its land and its mountains and rivers, its climate and its seasons, are the same as in the country of Yinbojian. In their customs there is no rule and no measure, and the nature of the people is low and violent. They mostly do nothing to make merit, and few of them believe in the Law of the Buddha. Their looks are ugly and worn, and they mostly wear felt and coarse cloth. There are crags in the mountains, and much of the essence of gold comes out within them. It is got only after the stone is cut and split. The monasteries are already few, and the monks are few as well. Their king is simple and plain, and he honors the Three Jewels with reverence.
From here one goes northeast, climbing the mountains and entering the valleys, and the road is hard and dangerous. After more than five hundred li one comes to the country of Damoxitiedi.
